How I work

I look for the constraint that will actually break the system — a race condition, a shared-hosting limitation, a compliance boundary — and design around it before writing the rest of the feature. Where possible, I enforce correctness structurally instead of trusting every caller to remember a check: a database index that makes a double-booking impossible rather than a race-prone application check, a query extension that scopes every tenant lookup rather than a convention every new endpoint has to follow. And I test the two things a mock can't tell you anything about — concurrency and money — because that's where defects that "look done" actually hide.
